Sydney is a global city with a blend of cultures, a rich heritage spanning thousands of years and a wide range of activities that take you to new heights. The BESydney team possess expertise and a diverse network of local partners, providing event organisers the opportunity to curate an incentive trip of a lifetime.

We champion local experiences and businesses, encouraging people from all over the world to spend time with our people whose knowledge and histories provide guests with a deeper appreciation for country. At BESydney, we advocate for greener activities and encourage all who come to our city to take part in more sustainable practices.

In February 2025, Sinyi Realty Inc., headquartered in Taiwan, brought over 1,160 high-performing colleagues to Sydney for an impressive five-day incentive tour. The trip contributed an estimate $7 million direct expenditure to the New South Wales (NSW) visitor economy.

Searching for more sustainable activities that would leave a lasting impression on the delegates, BESyndey coordinated with Sinyi Realty Inc. to organise the “Sinyi Walkathon”. Inspired by Sydney’s induction into the Abbott World Marathon Majors group and an organisational focus on health and wellbeing, the Walkathon guided delegates along one segment of the official Sydney Marathon route.

Led by Mr Chou Chun-Chi, Founder of Sinyi Enterprise Group, and Mr Chou Ken-Yu, Chairman of Sinyi Realty, the Sinyi team were rewarded with impressive views of Sydney Harbour as they crossed the Sydney Harbour Bridge. A spectacular group photo was captured at the foot of the Sydney Opera House, commemorating the achievement of the incentive team and to memorialise this experience for our visitors.

Guests were greeted at the finish line in the Royal Botanical Garden Tarpeian Lawn, with a generous display of food trucks, entertainment and rewards for all. An incredible display of Sinyi branded skywriting across the sky finished the day on a high.

The Sinyi Incentive Tour showcased the best of Sydney’s landmarks and regional experiences across NSW. This included a variety of activities such as city tours, visits to Hyde Park, St Mary's Cathedral, Art Gallery of NSW, and the University of Sydney. Delegates also had the option to explore regional attractions like the Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley Resort and Port Stephens.

Additional tours were also offered to exciting destinations like Featherdale Wildlife Park, Sydney Fish Market and Sydney Aquarium. The tour culminated in a grand Sinyi Gala Event and Award appreciation night at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney. The final day featured a half-day tour of the Central Coast, combined with shopping and afternoon tea at QVB The Tea Room.

The incentive trip was expertly curated by Lion Travel, Australian Tours Management and Pinnacle Events in partnership with BESydney.

Ms Ya Wen She - Supervisor, Career Development Team of Sinyi Realty Taiwan, shared her insights on the event's success. When asked why Sydney was the top choice for this year’s incentive trip, she highlighted Sydney's rich tourism experiences, diverse cultures and a variety of activities to choose from. She also mentioned their fond memories of a previous visit in 2005, which inspired them to choose Sydney again for the 2025 event.

Ms She praised the BESydney team’s enthusiasm and support in customising a unique incentive plan based on Sinyi's needs and employee characteristics. "A Walkathon is a healthy and positive activity that fosters team spirit and resilience, aligning with Sinyi's corporate spirit. Sydney's scenic walking routes allowed employees to experience the city's charm while enjoying beautiful scenery”, she said.

When asked about her most memorable highlight of the incentive, Ms She stated “There were many memorable moments, but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be the moment when [our team] reached the finish line of the Walkathon. When [our people] encouraged each other and crossed the finish line hand in hand, their faces were filled with joy and pride. At that moment, we saw the power and resilience of the team and felt the positive impact of this event.

Our goal was to provide [the team] with an unforgettable, fun and rewarding incentive trip while enhancing team cohesion and employees' sense of belonging.

Mitch Trevillion, Director of Pinnacle Events, and local organisers of the Walkathon, emphasised that the Walkathon was the perfect way to immerse international delegates in Sydney’s natural beauty whilst offering a taste of Australian life. Mitch credited the success of the event to Pinnacle Team Events' decades of experience in coordinating, planning and executing large corporate events. “For clients looking to host an incentive event in Sydney, our biggest piece of advice is to partner with an experienced team that understands both the big picture and the fine details. Sydney offers incredible locations, but successfully delivering a large-scale event requires expert coordination.”

Ann Lai, General Manager of the MICE Division at Lion Travel, credited the success of the incentive to the collaborative effort with BESydney and aligning to the goals and objectives of Sinyi to create an inspiring experience. “We sincerely appreciate Business Events Sydney for its tremendous support.... the assistance has helped us overcome numerous challenges, and the positive feedback from our clients after the event is a testament to that”.
