BESydney awarded the Destination Organisation Award for Global Impact 2024

Destinations International has awarded BESydney this year's Destination Organization Leadership Award for Global Impact as part of its annual awards program recognising outstanding leadership in the travel and tourism industry.

The BESydney team has researched the beyond tourism benefits of business events for decades and last year implemented a Change Starts Here Agenda - a whole of organisation vision for the way it approaches business events that encompasses economic sustainability, social sustainability and environmental sustainability. Recently BESydney drove a global research project in partnership with PCMA on Women in Leadership to drive change on a social level for the business events industry.

Destinations International (DI) is the world’s largest membership association for destination organizations and convention and visitor bureaus. The Destination Organization Award for Global Impact is an annual award, created in 2023 to recognize those outstanding destination organisations that have made a significant impact on the global destination industry through exceptional service and innovation in their location or national communities.

This prestigious award recognizes those organizations that have not only addressed local challenges or opportunities but have also implemented solutions with the potential for scalability and impact on a global scale.

Honorees will be celebrated at the Recognition Celebration session during the 2024 Destinations International Annual Convention in Tampa, Florida.
