Bangarra Dance Theatre is a company of professional Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander performers.
As one of Australia’s leading performing arts companies, we share our culture with communities and audiences across Australia and the world. We started in 1989, but our dance technique is forged from over 65,000 years of culture, embodied with contemporary movement. Our offering: Live performances: Each year we premiere a new work which plays the Sydney Opera House in June & July before touring to Arts Centre Melbourne, Canberra Theatre Centre, and Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane. Function Space: Located in the heart of the beautiful Walsh Bay arts precinct on the edge of Sydney Harbour, Bangarra’s unique spaces are the perfect venue for events of up to 200 guests. Spaces include a light-filled function room with harbour views for up to 120 and a Studio/Theatre venue for an audience of up to 200. Private performances: Private performances for corporate events can be arranged, subject to availability. Digital performances are available for licensing for private events.
